Enabled EIT for the two channels not yet showing up in Schedules Direct.

I did that at 7pm and immediately upon going to the guide the two channels
showed guide info from 5pm until 8pm. After 8 it just says DTV program. I
know some channels only have a few hours of EIT data but curious why it
showed me earlier hours but not any shows coming up. How often is EIT
scanned? Which logs should I check?

Thanks.
