No, the HD source only has the channels from the multiplex that has the HD
channels. I scan that one selectively so I don't even have to go round and make
everything else invisible in the channel editor.
The SD source can't even see the HD channels so there's no problem there. After
we've hidden all the shopping and "special interest" channels, we're left with
the ones we are likely to record from - about thirty these days, with plus-1 and
other options.
If anyone wants to record HD, they just scroll down and choose from the HD
channels. Otherwise, they choose something else which implies SD.
