[mythtv-users] Odd doubling of audio

Last night, while I was watching a recorded program with Myth 
(v0.27.4-41-gf1115fc), about halfway through I started getting the audio 
twice, the second one about a second or so after the first. At first I 
thought it might have been something strange with the broadcast. Oddly 
enough, I was able to understand enough of what was going on to finish 
the program. Then, just to make sure I was right that it was somehow the 
fault of the broadcast, I started watching a different program. This 
time, instead of getting two copies of the audio from the one program I 
got the audio I expected plus the audio from the next program in the 
list. At this point I decided that, since we were about to watch an 
evening of TV, I should try the old fashioned way of fixing things by 
rebooting. (I know that's not the Linux way, but I was in a bit of a 
rush, and wouldn't have known what service to restart, so I restarted 
all of them.) Anyway, after rebooting, all was normal.

Any idea what happened there, and what I should have done to fix it?
