If my name were John and I didn't use Kodi/XBMC ;), I'd answer in the Frontend, Recording Rules.

Bill,
Is this something I can set 1 time an forget it per recording?  Many of the recordings I am planning on keeping complete seasons.  With exception of News.

I normally just setup my recordings thru MythWeb.  I have the frontend installed on the Backend server.  So though it's a bit inconvenient, I can make it a point to log on after creating recording to make that change.

Can a recording profile be used to set this?
