A few things.
If both (sub)cards connect to the same satellite, you can do with one
source, but check you're not receiving multiple broadcasters from that
one satellite. I'm not familiar with that so I don't know.
Only deleting all video sources purges existing channel info.
If you only use the EIT profided by your satellite set it so in your
new source.
In input connections you connect both catds to the new created source
and you perform the scan on that source.
