New kernel today,  3.10.0-123.20.1.el7.x86_64

I didn't see any missing-symbols messages and the drivers were 
installed, but the adapter_nr  options in modprobe.d were ignored.  I 
was able to get the numbering I wanted by unplugging the usb device, 
installing the module for the pci device, and then re-inserting the usb 
stick...
