A note that you added, BTW.

I remember a bunch of discussion on this list about how the HDHR
needed to be added by ID and not IP some time back, but weren't all of
those issues resolved?

Discovery only works on the local broadcast network and won't travel
through a router, but that shouldn't be an issue for actually doing a
recording.
