Since the MythTV FE does not (yet) support VAAPI
VPP MCDI or MADI, that seems to imply that you do
not have a lot of interlaced content (or your TV or
A/V receiver performs the de-interlacing, or that you
are one of the lucky ones that do not observe the artifacts).
As with much else, details matter.
