I've found that Plex can properly manage my MythTV recordings *only* if I
am lucky enough to populate the correct metadata with the
mythmetadatalookup script, followed by mythlink creating the human readable
titles. And this only works part of the time, provided that the ttvdb
website has the proper season and episode information. Otherwise, lack of
good metadata results in file names Plex cannot handle.
On the other hand, if you download and use the mythtv channel script for
Plex, this script will query the database and populate the list of
recordings mostly the same way the MythTV frontend does it, so it does not
depend on the metadata being there.
