I have tested v6.505 with a HDPVR2 GE Plus and, as much as I can tell, 
that is not a driver, it's just a testApp, test application.

After building, you call it as: ./HDPVR2-testApp -f video.ts

And I can confirm it works, not consistently, creating the video.ts disk 
file. But this is the only way the package lets you make a capture.

I might be wrong, let the knowledgeable people speak up, but for me a 
driver creates a device like for instance /dev/video0, which will allow 
other applications, not just testApp, to access the hardware device and 
make their own capture.
