I had this recently on Mythbuntu 14.04.2

it turned out the ~/.lirc/mythtv which was linked from ~/.lircrc was point
at the wrong remote ie. remote = devinput (rather then remote = mceusb as
below but from you config the remote is not specified (perhaps it needs to
be now or perhaps your ~/.mythtv/lircrc is not symlinked to ~/lircrc ?)
