[mythtv-users] Lirc works, but doesn't control mythfrontend

Upgraded my Mythbox to Mageia version 5 with lirc-0.9.1a. Initially, I
hoped that module would work from my kernel. Evidently not.

I installed Lirc and had to configure a workaround to get it to load
without segfaulting.  The workaround is here:

Lircd loads. IRW shows button presses as expected.  I have the
~/.mythtv/lircrc file from my old installation. It looks like this:

Also having trouble with Mythmote and Mythweb, but those are issues for
another time. For now, the struggle continues.
