Jay,

The error seems to be that the nvidia driver did not upgrade 
sucessfully. Thats what I got from the launchpad submissions. This was 
posted there and you can try this:

$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure nvidia-331

after that...

$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure nvidia-331-uvm
