It's far more likely that, 1) I've built it wrong, 2) I'm running it 
wrong, 3) both.

Yes, that's a good idea. I'll give it a whirl.

My driver patch is working fine with stock 0.27, so I'm going to have to 
make an effort. If I don't, who knows whether 0.28 will do what I need?
