LTSP is installed under /opt/ltsp/... on my wheezy server where I would have 
expected /srv/ltsp/...

mythtv installs under /var/lib/mythtv unless, as I did, the mythtv user is 
created elsewhere.

I think it just depends on the packager, and optionally the age of the software.
