To avoid the top posting comment, I can always just start a new email.
Mike, Please understand that I am looking for a stop gap to get me by till I can purchase new hardware for a proper dedicate media network.
It doesn't change the fact that I think it is silly that MythTV can only listen on 1 network. But Raymond was the first an ONLY person to really address that an let me know that in the future that will be resolved.
Again, thanks Raymond for the most informed response.
At this time I have no further need for this. I have heard everyones suggestions. My solution will be a stand-alone MythTV machine with the backend an sql listening on 127.0.0.1, an PLEX providing the recorded content an video library to both my networks from my MythBuntu box.
Gary, I must say I am happy to meet you. I am kind of mixed on what message your trying to send. But I do note your very observant.
An most of all I want to say Thank You to all who have offered suggestions an ideas. Its been helpful to make as much of a educated decision on whats going to be best for my budget an infrastructure.
If the group wishes I can drop off as my knowledge of MythTV is as close to NOOB status as one can be an I don't have much to offer on that front.
