[mythtv-users] cable card options

I am still running MythDora 12.23, upgraded to .26 fixes (if I recall) with
Hauppauge HD-PVR to a SA4200 cable box using firewire channel changer.  The
problem is that I sometimes cannot resolve conflicting recordings and have
to give up one.

I know I should not try to fix it, but had attempted a year ago to use
Hauppauge DCR-2650 with a cable card on Cablevision Systems.  It seemed
that I need a tuning adapter, so I gave up rather easily as my current
system just worked.

My current box does not have any PCI slots left.

I think HDHomeRun Prime is an option (how does tuning adapter work with
it?), are there any other recommendations?
