Nope, Stephen Collier compiled 27.3 and Qt 4.8 for EL6 and setup a repo 
for the packages:

http://scrpms.net/pub/RPMS/el6/x86_64/

I haven't upgraded yet but as a test I did parallel install the minimum 
Qt 4.8 packages for mythtv-backend with no error messages:
