There currently is not a XMLTV SD-JSON grabber, but some folks are thinking about creating one.
As part of the XMLTV project and SD, I think it's a great idea, I've also made some changes in the past few months with XMLTV to accommodate it.

Yes, the XMLTV schema will need to be extended to take advantage of all the features provided by SD-JSON. I don't see any reason that can't be done.
The big issue is one of time... Nov 1 is close and I don't think anyone will have a working XMLTV grabber by then.
There are two short-term solutions, the SD-DD service (IP change) or the SD-JSON service with the "test" grabber developed for MythTV. (That's what it
was initially created for.. to just test the service)
