I don't have any bright ideas, but you should be able to automate your
solution with a suspend/resume script in /etc/pm/sleep.d/ (on debian, at
least), which stops lircd and rmmods mceusb on suspend and reverses the
steps on resume. I don't know if you would need to stop/restart myth fe.
