Seems I am late to the party but I guess better late than never I hope.

I am finding that using the MythCenter[-wide] theme with 0.27.1. I am
seeing a lot of flashing between the default blue background and the fan
art when scrolling through recordings on the watch recordings screen.

This is new.  Previously the transition from one recording's fanart to
the next was without an interim transition through the blue background.
