MythTV will choose to record from one of the available directories from
the specified Storage Group.

It's possible that it only checks to see what's available on backend
startup (haven't really looked at the code), and if so, a drive that
goes missing while MythTV is running will cause problems.

Also, if you have chosen the Balanced Free Space (and likely Balanced
Percent Free Space) Storage Group Disk Scheduler, MythTV may choose to
record to a directory that's not available on the current system if it's
available on another backend. So, to work around this issue, choose a
better Storage Group Disk Scheduler--like Combination or possibly
Balanced I/O.
