It works for me (TV metadata in Videos).

File naming is important - all my shows are organised by "Show 
Name.SXXEXX.ext", e.g

Battlestar Galactica.S02E21.mkv

is Battlestar Galactica, Season 2 Episode 21

Which folder it is in doesn't matter.
