Well, here it's simply switching to a new program, there will be stutter as
it wait for the new recording to start on the backend

If you upgrade to master version or the devel/027candidates it will be much
better.

There will still be a stutter under this condition, but usually only a few
frames may be dropped.

Are you sure the program you are currently watching doesn't happen to be
made of 30 minutes block in your guide?
