@Hika:  I'd like to write a shell script that will automatically update the
system when mythbackend is idle (not recording, and no mythfrontend usage).

I would like a the same for an automatic shutdown but my frontend is a
UPnP video player. I have not found a successful way of detecting a UPnP
playback in progress before shutting down the backend.
