Yeah, I was under the same impression myself.

Anyhow, as a follow up I was able to download and compile the mythchanger
script but it did not work for my STB (SA/Cisco RNG 150N). So after some
more research I found a newer better script "stb-command" and this worked
pretty much out of the box.

So the channel changing works and I can capture video perfectly
running the test-mpeg2
script. But MythTV still seems to be not working with this set up. I can
set the firewire up as a capture device with no problems. Myth finds the
GUID and STB okay. But when I go into the front end and try to watch live
TV i get a black screen. After looking at the /var/lib/mythtv/livetv
directory I see it creates a 0 bytes file.

So I'm stumped. I did read on the Myth/Fire_Wire Wiki page that this could
be caused by some STBs "likely not sending a proper PAT and/or PMT in the
transport stream" but I have no idea what this means. The WIKI did mention
a work around for it, but no explanation of how to do it.

Has anyone else had issues like this and also are there other tests I
should run to determine if this is the cause of if it might be something
else that's causing the blank screen.
