MythTV will never automatically delete any non-expirable recording 
that's not already been Deleted interactively by the user (i.e. the user 
deleted it to the Deleted recording group).

FWIW, you don't need to rebalance if you have "lots" of free space (as 
compared to the amount of space your "near term" recordings will take) 
available on all file systems.  You only really need to balance when 
some file systems--but not all--begin to fill.  (Though if all fill, 
you'll want to balance Live TV/Deleted/Watched recordings or 
pre-expire/manually delete from Deleted some recordings to make some 
free space.)
