I think the answer was already given (displayed audio comes from EPG?)
But just to close the loop here: Given two recent recordings that show
up as Stereo, but I expect to be 5.1 and sound like 5.1 to me:
mythffmpeg -i:
Stream #0:1[0x1100]: Audio: ac3 (AC-3 / 0x332D4341), 48000 Hz, stereo,
fltp, 384 kb/s
Stream #0:1[0x1100]: Audio: ac3 (AC-3 / 0x332D4341), 48000 Hz,
5.1(side), fltp, 384 kb/s
ffmpeg -i:
Stream #0.1[0x1100]: Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, s16, 384 kb/s
Stream #0.1[0x1100]: Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, s16, 384 kb/s
