But the general lack of integration in Android and in particular my
music player of choice on Android is making these Bluetooth dongles
sitting on my desk look really appealing.  I think I might go that route
first.

That also makes it more familiar for users that already know how to do
Bluetooth.  If B/T doesn't work out I will try Rygel.
