'git log' would probably help.  Or just look at the
changelog at https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v3.0/ChangeLog-3.15.3
Nothing immediately stands out regarding realtek.
Might need to do a git bisect to find the commit
of interest.

You can always download the driver directly
from realtek and build that.  There is some
possibility that will work differently.
