script. Try running it manually as user MythTV to see what happens.

While I have read many forums/lists, this is my first time posting.  I found my thread at http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/571626, but cannot find a way to reply there.  Is this the proper way to reply?
 
I did not know that I had an external metadata grabber.  Google led me to this enlightening page -- http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Enhancing_Recordings_with_Metadata_Lookup.  I have run the three "uprgrade steps" near the top of the page using my normal ID.  But after the upgrades, a crash to tmbd3.py was reported.  I deleted the report then rebooted and retried mythvidexport.py.  It failed again but with another crash of tmbd3.py.  Line 161323 of the crash report states Title: tmdb3.py crashed with TMDBCacheReadError in _init_cache(): User does not have permission to access cache file: /home/mythtv/.mythtv/pytmdb3.cache.  Owners and permissions of pytmdb3.cache are:     george:mythtv -rwx r-x r-x
