That is rather my take on the rant as well. A case of, "I don't like the
law, so I'll ignore the law".
One, that makes for a rather lousy society. If I don't like the law
prohibiting the murder of someone who annoys me, should I ignore it?
Rush hour would, quite literally, be murder!
I don't like the law prohibiting stealing, I end up living in a
warehouse full of stolen goods and neighbors ignoring the law against
murder.
And to be blunt, copyright violations *are* stealing.
Discussing stealing something in violation of nearly every nation's
laws, on a publicly archived list isn't exactly the brightest thing to do.
Promulgating information on how to do so, even less bright, as that also
is a violation of federal law.
That is a really, really good way to find your home needing replacement
doors, after law enforcement rams them in, confiscates all digital
equipment that you own, seizes your finances and makes you a guest of
the state pending trial.
Fine by me if you want to do that, but do it elsewhere, I don't want to
get hit by the splatter.
