I suspect that your really need an outside antenna for antenna 1, as 
channel 19 is too far away for good reception with a small indoor antenna.
And yes, you need a large directional antenna for #2. Even then it may 
have problems with channels 8 and 11 (VHF),
And of course a lot depends upon the topology of your location. My 
antennas are high and have good lines of sight over Lake Ontario for 
most of the distance to the transmitters.
  I'm using a ChannelMaster 8 bay and a 4bay flat style.
