No, the only way to fix it so it plays properly in MythTV every time you
start it is to fix the video to specify the proper aspect. Depending on
the video and container format, this may be as simple as writing the
appropriate aspect to the container or may actually involve remuxing or,
worst case, could involve transcoding.
Unfortunately I can't give you specific directions, but others may have
done this before and if you provide specifics on the video, may be able
to help. If not, you may have to do some searching and trial and error
your way through the process.
