To be pedantic, I only investigated & demonstrated the issue - JYA
'pinpointed' the underlying cause.

We've identified a bug that's been in the ringbuffer for the past 4 years.
This creates a race condition that can cause LiveTV to fail on startup or
changing channels/inputs.

JYA's recent improvements have speeded up LiveTV, which has made it more
likely to occur on affected systems. However it may also account for any
LiveTV flakiness in 0.24, 0.25 & 0.26 as well.

JYA has put fixes into master & fixes/0.27 today.
