[mythtv-users] Video scan for changes question

Picking "Scan for Changes" on the video library (Media Library > Watch 
Videos > Menu > Scan for Changes) it updates the list of videos, but 
also does a long scan of....something; not sure what it is.  It's titles 
I recognize in general, but I'm not sure why it's there.  Is there a way 
to just update my video's (without the other stuff)?
