Hi there.

This is for anyone using the mac frontend client...

As you know, if you've been using the bundle applications, it meant
you never really had a full mythtv experience: no metadata, settings
pretty much unusable due to the use of very dark fonts the list goes
on...

I've finally managed to make the various side utilities (all those
using the python bindings) to work. And fixed all outstanding issues
(with the exception of Setup -> Videos -> General Settings screen
still doesn't work for some reason, but that's next).

MythBackend app now works just as well, and all features are now usable..
Obviously you need a compatible hardware capture card like a HDHR. Or
record HLS streams (guide to set it up is there:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/User_Manual:Setting_up_HTTP_Live_Streaming_Recorder)

File is available here:
http://www.avenard.org/files/mythtv/mac/MythTV-v0.27-220-g4dc201f.dmg

Application is a universal 32/64 bits Intel, run on any mac >= 10.6

I'm not sure there's much point there days to cater for 10.6 and 32
bits. It makes the application 60% bigger

Though, running the application in 32 bits mode on some Core 2 Duo
machine is a tad faster (about 6%) which is just enough to allow
playing HD on those old mac.

Hope you like it...
Jean-Yves
