There is also MythWelcome/MythShutdown which worked  well when I used 
too use it on a combined FE/BE machine allowing you to set two periods 
in the day that you want the FE to be awake. Out of these periods the 
system will be shutdown if it's not busy recording or a few other things 
like running mythfilldatabase and mythcomflag etc.
