MythMote talks to the MythTV box using TCP/IP over your network - it
is completely separate from how the infrared remotes work, so you can
use it at the same time. You can also have multiple IR remotes on the
same box.
RC6 is an infrared remote protocol used by many IR remotes. It does
not, however, define the keycodes or device ids of any actual remote,
just how their bits are organised. So you need a configuration for
each IR remote.

My MythTV box now has a static LAN IP ending in ".200". Now that I've gone and done it, I'm not so sure it was necessary, but I see no need to un-do it at this point.
To make MythMote work, you have to give it the IP address of your
MythTV box. It might work with a DNS name, but I have not tried that
and its setup screen asks for an IP address. So you do need a fixed
IP address on your MythTV box for it to work with, either by using a
static IP address as you have now, or telling your DHCP server to use
the same address all the time for that PC.
