[mythtv-users] Does 0.27 require Ceton to use RTP?

For some reason I can not use RTP with my Ceton InfiniTV PCIe card.
Whenever I do my Ubuntu system hard crashes (even the video freezes). I
use the /dev/ceton/ctn91xx_mpeg0_0 device instead. I first encountered
this on Ubuntu 12.10 but it continues with 13.04. I have periodically
checked, and updated my Ceton driver and firmware, but nothing helped.
Someone at Ceton was unofficially looking at it, but I have not heard
back from the for a fix.

I have verified the problem is NOT mythtv by using the InfiniTV python
scripts:

    fbacher [at] smeagol:~/Source/infinitv_client_1_2$ ./client.py -i
    192.168.200.2 -t 3 -c 854
    1359089665.660685 client.py:137 Initializing
    1359089670.110189 board.py:47 Found: Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-63-70)
    1359089672.839368 client.py:37 AVTransportURI:
    rtsp://192.168.200.1:8554/cetonmpeg3
    1359089672.839393 client.py:39 PrepareForConnection

<Machine locks up at this point>

Anyway, I can't move up to 0.27 unless it supports the /dev method or I
get this fixed.

Thanks for any info. 0.27 sounds wonderful.
