With due respect to the developers, it's not "gobble-ti -gook", rather,
a well crafted method for passing parameters to the script.....

I don't know what there you're using, but with Steppes, it works.

 From Watch Recordings, select a recording->M->Job Options shows my
jobs (after Begin Transcoding, Begin Commercial Detection, Begin
Metadata Lookup.)
