There are reports that encryption starts Nov 19th in Minneapolis
(as always, your particular franchise will vary, and sometimes
Comcast will split a the exact date across some magic
geographic line).

Check your (latest) Comcast bill for information.  They have
historically given warning at least one month in advance.
