The reason why I said 2/3rds, is that after 18 or 19 days in the past, I can't remember the first third of what was done or why.

I _DO_ know that part of it had to do with using the graphical updater instead of the command line updater, and that ended up "breaking" things.

As for the 2nd-third...
In my router, I had set up a static IP address for various devices in my LAN. One of which is 192.168.0.200 for the MythBuntu box.

In the MythTV Backend Setup, section
1. General
   Local Backend
      IPv4 Address and
      Master Backend
I was fighting MythTV to change the address BACK to the original 127.0.0.1 address, but I just COULD NOT make that setting Change!!!
It wasn't until Sunday afternoon that my Linux Guru showed me that all I had to do was to press the left and right arrow keys (Grrrrrrr!!!)

As for the 3rd-third...
It seems that in my efforts to restart and revert the IP address back to 127..., I unplugged the ethernet cable, and left it unplugged. THAT has now also been fixed.
