Indeed, it would be much better to run a separate line from the breaker
box to the entertainment unit, as well as a ground bus to avoid ground
loops.
Of course, sharing conduit is not to any known electrical code, but
sharing the plenum would be acceptable, with separate conduits for LV
and mains.

Running extension cords through walls and floors is only asking for trouble.
