Check the various airplay server implementations:
 http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirPlay

See which ones properly gets reported by your iphone; and report then what
arguments they are using in bonjour.
Maybe there's a trick they have found to make it work.

It works great for me now; so trying to find why it doesn't work for you is
shooting in the dark.
