Then you should be sorted. What you can do as well is run the 0.26 version.
I am running 0.26, the only reason I haven't upgraded yet is because there
isn't a client for windows in 0.27, however I have found one for 0.26. I am
also running XBMC on my linux laptop, and it can connect to 0.26 without
any problems. So my tip to you would be to download mythbuntu and run it
with the 0.26 repos enabled.
