I had an old Mac mini core 2 duo with a gma 950. I even went to the effort
of replacing the CPU with the fastest core 2 duo available at the time:
2.33GHz (up from 1.8Ghz).

At the time, the intel drivers were terrible. One thing I could get to work
was sync to vblank. So I always had terrible tearing.
OpenGL support was crap too and would regularly crash.
So I gave up and just around that time, nvidia released vdpau so I got a
9400M based PC.

I have never tried again running Linux on GMA950 based mini. I now use a
nvidia 320M 2010 mini; and it's fantastic.
