OK, that makes sense.  I guess it was added for just the problem I
'thought' I was having.

Well, I'm a little embarrassed now, maybe I shouldn't be mentioning
where I'm getting advice from in the future.  They did give me a lot
of help, and since it's not a group dedicated to audio/video questions
maybe it wasn't exactly fair to expect them to know this.

Thanks.  I'll have to try out some of the commands once I get home
just to see what the output is on my current system, even though I
don't have 2 sets of audio hardware.
