Looking again at the log you posted:  it's strange that the output of 
mythtranscode is not the input to mythffmpeg.  That is apparently 
working with the original file.  I know that some renames happen in the 
mythburn script, but (although I haven't consulted the script) it 
doesn't look as if that's what has happened there.  I think I should 
give up :-)
