But since there's no lossless cutting capability for H.264 and since 
mythtranscode only transcodes to garbage formats, using mythtranscode on 
H.264 is a bad thing.  You'll want to find some other tool that's 
designed to work with H.264.

IMHO, the /only/ use for mythtranscode is lossless cutting of MPEG-2.  
If you're doing anything else, it's not the tool for you.
